About the researcher:
I entered my first year of the Sustainability Studies graduate program at Trent University in fall 2016, transitioning from a policy internship with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. With a background in ecology and a passion for responsible decision-making, I am enjoying this opportunity to pursue research concerning the role of Indigenous knowledge and values in wildlife management, specifically in ecosystems altered by climate change. My hope is to use my experiences with the Health, Environment and Indigenous Communities Research Group to encourage adaptive approaches to environmental planning at all levels of government.
